from Death By Audio: ""It is a passive ring modulator. Plug 2 things into either of the jacks and the 3rd jack will output the ring modulated signal. The 2 things you plug in to it should be active to work best, like a keyboard and an electric guitar through a gain/overdrive/distortion pedal. It's a neat little box and I have one still too. I use it from time to time as nothing quite sounds as rich as pure analog transformered ring modulation."
