The Vector MK2 has been updated with a 5X faster processor, 3X memory and two extra onboard CV outputs, both calibrated and suitable for Pitch, Gate or Velocity. The new CPU allows for more than double the preset storage area, as well as new features including a 2nd set of Chance Operations.   The new DAC allows for an extra pair of pitch-capable onboard CV outputs (CV X, CV Y).

The DACs for Velocity outputs have been updated and can now be used for Pitch outputs as well as Velocity.  With the additional outputs on the new Vector, the two modules can now support up to 12 monophonic voices.  The remaining I/O compliment on the Expander is mostly the same:  There are 4 Gate outputs and 8 flexible trigger/gate outs, 3 of which are reversible. There is also MIDI in and out, this time on 3.5mm mini-jacks (adapters included).

Even with beta firmware, the Vector II is moving quickly into new creative territory, with two lanes of chance operations, free-run Pitch, Gate, Velocity and Ratchet lanes, and more than double the preset space available on the Vector MkI. Both Vectors share more than 95% of their code, and the MkI Vector will continue to see regular updates and new feature additions.

The Expansion headers on the MkII Vector and Expander are the same as on the MkI modules, so with upcoming firmware updates, the new Expander will work the MkI Vector, and the MkII Vector will work with the MkI Expander.
