The Magnetic Personality Mic is a contact microphone with a desire for adherence. Sporting 4 feet of audio cable and terminated to a quarter inch plug, the MPM’s not-so-secret charm is in its magnet, mounted to the piezo. This STRONG ceramic ferrite ring-style magnet sticks to file cabinets, folding chairs, doorknobs, and can lift small objects such as scissors, measuring tape, slinkies - you name it. And yes, it will hold up grocery lists on the refrigerator too! Perfect for field recording & electro acoustic explorations where duct tape or clamps won’t do the trick.

PS. The MPM requires a tad more gain than our regular contact microphones. This is easily resolved with an EQ pedal, preamp, or by boosting the trim on one’s mixer or recording device.
