Shipping to Canada. What are my options? What are the hidden fees?
Option 1: Economy Canada
The endpoint for this method is through Canada Post. Depending on your province, you will be charged one of the following: GST and PST; HST; or GST-only.
When is import taxes charged? According to Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) , charges are only for items over $20.00 CAD.
Are there other fees involved? According to Canada Post, a "handling fee of CAN$9.95 per dutiable or taxable mail item" is charged for items over $20.00 CAD.
Option 2: USPS
The rules are the same as Economy Canada, but you have several options for delivery speed.
Option 3: UPS
UPS offers one of the faster options. UPS Standard can be seen as the cheapest option, but there are fees, including duty. See page 115 for the pricing and duty fees table.

Duty fees are not charged for the following shipping methods: UPS Worldwide Express Plus™, UPS Worldwide Express™, UPS Worldwide Express Freight®, UPS Worldwide Express Saver® & UPS Worldwide Expedited™. However, there may be other service charges.
